Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) provides mental health, learning disability and community physical health services to a population of over a million people. These services are provided in partnership with commissioners, local authorities, voluntary and independent organisations, people who use our services and their carers. We also provide specialist services within Liverpool, Sefton, Bolton, Warrington, Halton and Trafford. With an annual income approaching £160m, we employ more than 3,600 staff across 65 sites.

CWP has also been placed in Segment 1 of the NHS System Oversight Framework (SOF) 2021/22. Strategically we are taking a lead in terms of service development and integration across the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. At this time of significant change in the NHS and social care landscape, and with the pandemic highlighting inequalities in our society and increasing demand for our services, we are seeking two new Non Executive Directors both with clinical backgrounds to support and challenge our Board in delivering our vision; ensuring that our service users, carers, our local communities and our staff are at the heart of our decisions and are able to thrive. You will be responsible for working as part of a unitary board to provide strategic oversight and support and challenge as champions for our culture of quality improvement.
We are keen to hear from clinical leaders of all professions including nursing, medical, AHP, public health and social workers. You may bring a background in either the NHS, Third Sector, or the wider public sector. With strategic experience gained at Board-level or equivalent you will be comfortable working in complex and values-driven environments with a focus on impact and outcomes. Your strong focus on the safety, quality and experience of our service users will be key, recognising that they are at the heart of everything that we do.
