Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) provides mental health, substance misuse, learning disability and community physical health services to a population of over a million people. At this time of significant change in the NHS and social care landscape and as the pandemic has further highlighted inequalities in our society and increased the demand for our services, we are seeking a new Chair to lead, support and challenge our Board and Council of Governors in delivering our vision; ensuring that our service users, carers, our local communities and our staff are at the heart of our decisions and are able to thrive.  

We are seeking an inspirational Chair who brings significant experience at Board level in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. With a clear understanding of the NHS political and operational landscape, you will be a person-centred leader with a commitment to our values, who brings an understanding of the communities we serve and the wider determinants of health and well-being. You will be an accomplished relationship builder with a track record of successful partnership working across organisational boundaries; able to quickly build credibility with our wide range of stakeholders. We are committed to building a diverse Board that is representative of our local community and we welcome candidates from a broad range of backgrounds.
